The amount of information and detail has been removed compared to the earlier versions of the app. Ancestry as well as health, don't waste your time doing surveys, you get nothing in return for it.

Buggy

Can't access ancestors matches. It only play a tutorial. Can't even send feedback in the app. Email comes up with no send button. Frustrating iPhone app.

Lately this app is full of ads for premium subscription. It looks cheap and garish, I don't recommend.

Cool but useless after results

It was cool to read the results, but useless afterwards. I don't know if I had too high of expectations, but this did not live up to them. Take into account the security breach and I would not do this again.

Weeks and weeks for results

Having used Ancestry before I was hoping to get some interesting results from 23 and me. Unfortunately the experience has been really disappointing and the amount of time they've taken to process my results has been several weeks. Ancestry processes the results in days.

Paid plenty in advance

I paid a good amount of money when I made my initial purchase. 23Me is continually asking for more and more money. This was never explain at the start.

Both Services require purchasing a kit and submitting a saliva sample using the collection kit provided. You can log into your account to track the progress of your sample. Once you get your results, open your app to view all your reports.

In the app, you can also choose to answer survey questions and participate in 23andMe research. Link your account with Apple HealthKit™ and participate in activity tracking enhanced research initiatives.
