The old app was fine. Perfectly fine. And then, came the new one. I was just trying to top up my energy and then I was blocked. To solve the problem, I have asked to send an email to the site owner, including what I was doing and the ID at the bottom of the page. The problem is that there is no email address. Why change a good app to one is causing problems?

Data not appearing for Gas
Plenty of inconsistencies with the data. Was ages to get electric data in which does now seem better but just when I thought the lack of Gas data was resolved recently it's stopped ‘flowing' again since 9th Oct. For the App to be useful it needs to have the full data.

I can't log in to the old application and on the new one it's not mine. Completely different details I can't see gas and electricity... but maybe the neighbor's?? wdf

Useless
Always Issues with signing into your account. App or online. British Gas constantly have online issues. Secondly, there is nowhere online or in app that shows the amount of units used. Very suspicious indeed and certainly not user friendly 🤨🤯😳

HomeCare too Expensive
The app is fine however I have never made a claim since I joined British Gas 10 years ago and HomeCare is getting to expensive, HomeCare complete and cover for 4 appliances the renewal quote is just under £1000!! Sorry won't be paying that.

If your account begins with a letter, e.g. A, great news, you are on the new system supported by this app. 
 
If your account begins with a number, e.g. 85, don't worry, whilst this app will not work for you yet, you can still access your account online. You don’t need to do anything, we’ll let you know once you’ve moved to our new system and can start using this app.

• Amend or set up Direct Debit 
• Submit a meter reading for more accurate bills 
• Manage multiple energy accounts 
• Allows saving passwords through the Keystore functionality in a secure way 
• Have some fixes and optimizations included in this update 
• Fingerprint and face unlock 
• Stay permanently logged in with our improved login experience
