Learn Japanese! - Kanji | unitQ Score

Writing kanji is the best method for me to learn and this app does a tremendous job at what it does. I use it daily and my kanji has greatly improved. I look forward to using this app even if reviewing the kanji takes me one hour long to go through. However, this app has so many bugs and it is frustrating. The slightest drawings on certain kanji is so sensitive that a slight error will cause you to immediately to start over. It's very harsh and it really annoys me. I understand strokes have to be drawn a certain way but even when I do it correctly, it sometimes doesn't recognize it or counts my stroke as incorrect although I follow exactly what it tells me to do. Another thing is definitions. You have many kanji with the same meanings such as house, building, departure, open, etc. but never explained in context. I'm forced to look them up on my own to tell difference when it could have been written better. I've requested so many times to get things fixed that it seems the developer has given up on their own product. Therefore, I will give up on this app too then since my learning has been interrupted with too many bugs and no updates in the past year.

I love this kanji app, it's my preferred way of studying kanji. My only complaint is that since recent updates the app has become a lot choppier during lessons and that's a little annoying. Other than that it's perfect!

App performance is very slow and laggy, this is not due to my phone as I am running android 14 with newest specs and 120fps in other things and games. This app is very slow and lacking in performance.

I like the fact that I hear the pronunciation of Kanji On the other hand, the handwriting detection is far too punishing for a touch screen: the application does not try to find out if you have written the Kanji correctly, but if your start and end points of the line are positioned correctly on the screen. It therefore very quickly becomes difficult, if not impossible, to finish an exercise. This makes the application usable after a few lessons.

can you fix the performance cus it keeps repeating and the sign the your going to finish it won't move pls

Great supplemental app to learn Kanji. Some kanji radicals are nearly impossible and they don't get updated. For multiple choice options, the incorrect options are not similar to the actual answer, making the correct choice a bit obvious. I also wish we could make an account so no data is at risk for being lost. Those are my suggestions, as a Japanese learner that would make this app even better, and I hope we will see it one day!

I'm deep into N3 and I'm encountering a bug with the review sessions—whenever I get more than 2-3 things wrong, the answers stop getting counted as wrong, and they aren't fed back into the review loop. In fact, it seems like those wrong answers are getting marked as correct (based on the way the kanji colors update). This really detracts from the value of the review sessions and the whole concept of SRS in general. Is this a bug? If not, is there a way I can fix this? Please help! I love this app, it is by far the best app for kanji practice, especially writing (I have tried several) and I really want to keep using it to learn.

Content-wise, this is great but the UI needs some work. I'm using a Pixel 6a and once I'm ina category of lessons, I can't access the controls at the top of the UI because they occupy the same space as my phone's status bar (time, date, battery etc). Consequently, if I want to change to a different class level (N5 to N4 for example) I have to close the app. Also cannot access the settings.
