Sky News: Breaking, UK & World - Latest Quality Issues
Android

Clickbait ads looking like news with the layout deliberately designed to make ads look part of a story. No indication where an article ends and the spam starts. Latest update now cuts down even more on choice and the range of stories and topics covered. SKY boasts you can trust SKY news. Bollocks

why do apps have a loading screen, just get into the app.

The Sky News app has turned from THE best news app to almost unreadable - or I should say unlistenable - as it's mostly taken up with videos and podcasts. I have hearing loss and I want to READ news stories which aren't split into segments, punctured by videos, nor analysed by Sky correspondents. Uninstalled.

Ads are not news
The ads on the sky news app are increasingly interfering with news content and excellent reporting . Additionally the videos have become a waste of time . Waiting for ads to complete prior to watching videos and then having to read text or subtitles while trying to actually WATCH a video clip is counterproductive and pointless , either have a voice over for the viewer to watch a video clip or just stick with print . Why have both ?

it ok. Strangely the live video feed constantly lags and freezes. been doing this for 6 months and it's the only app that does it. Either the app or the feed is buggy.

Has suddenly decided to announce all notifications with the "Sky News sound", without me having changed anything. This is extremely distracting and whilst I have now muted the notification sound, will likely lead to me uninstalling, particularly as there are no filter settings for notifications - there's already too many inconsequential updates, even without sound.
