TrueLane by The Hartford | unitQ Score

When I first joined I stayed in and around the 90's rating for first month or so. Then what seemed like overnight I was dropped to less than 50. Not to mention when I'm at work I'll get a notification saying my trip is being recorded when I'm not even in the car. I just don't get it.

The app unenrolled me without notice, failed with a fake "sensor" error and robot support hung up on me without fixing it. Clearly a scam to deny you the discount.

App lowered my rating because I was using GPS and the screen was open. Seriously?

App only responds to vehicle computer. Not actual driving conditions! Speed limit signs do not always face the road correctly, vehicle computer doesn't read them and we are then considered to be speeding. Most of our driving is city, breaking hard is a common thing, others pulling out of side streets and drive ways or cutting off when passing on multi lane streets!

My old phone was running slow, and my wife's phone (a model older than mine) nearly locked up. So I ordered 2 new phones, (Moto g play - 2024). When opening TrueLane, I get the message, Phone Not Compatible. There went my insurance discount, a $20 jump already. I was told I could keep the old phone, a moto g power (2021) which loaded the ap, and ran TrueLane, but who wants to carry around 2 phones just to run an ap? Why doesn't this app run on a newer phone?

Worst App Ever. I was away for three months. They text me about my driving and not using the app. Well, I was not driving, car was parked. TrueLane needs to work on their technology, point blank. I am a senior so I don't drive as much. So my driving is totally limited. If you are rating my insurance cost. I should be paying a much lower premium than what you are charging me. DO BETTER, BECAUSE YOU KNOW BETTER FROM THE REVIEWs😒🙄👎

With Statefarm I had a bug on my car windsheild so I only had to deal with it when I was driving. This is on your phone, draining your battery and following you even when you are on vacation. You constantly have to mark when you are a passenger and not driving yourself.

I agree with other users. This app is junk!!!!!! Get a text message from Hartford Insurance Co. Saying you haven't driven in three weeks! Are you kidding me. My phone goes everywhere with me. Nothing has changed on my phone, no setting changes, etc. So I'm Uninstaller app and reinstalling. Otherwise the Insurance co. Will blame me screw me on my rates. If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD.

This App is not very advantageous to the Senior population. If you don't toggle between driver or passenger within 14 days, your policy premium may be adversely affected by 10-12%. For a two driver, two car household, we are being held hostage to a discount that we may or may not get because the app is not a fully functional product. Who wouldn't want the discount. No disclosure of thus information should be illegal.
