1Password: Password Manager - Latest Quality Issues

Account Frozen after Renewal
I missed renewal date and when topped up my balance - subscription renewed successfully but account is still frozen. It's definitely a bug. Could you please fix it? And as for UX moving categories to drop down menu is inconvenient. I'll change my rating back to 5 star when you fix critical bugs. 1pass is one of the best! But having the same issue with renewal second time I see that 1 year passed and you didnt fix it. And as iOS developer im wondering should I write my own password manager instead?

Incomplete migration
Migrating data from 1Password 6 is troublesome. Attachments and custom icons are not migrating successfully. Some of them migrate others disappear. QC for the software department got a minus from me.
Android

Less than optimal. Autofill doesn't work. Ive tried numerous times to enable. If I have to open it every time, search, copy paste, what good is it

Charge for a subscription quietly after trial and doesn’t issue refund
I got charged for a year after my trial has ended without any notifications! They have policy of no refunds. I will delete my account and never use it again! Take a good care of $35!

The iPad version of this app desperately needs a search function on the home screen.

***update prices keep going up, yet quality down**How to take a decent app and just DESTROY it
Updated for December 2024: Since iOS 18 the problems continue to multiply not only do I get a constant drone of login emails that are erroneous and on previously registered devices their responses there's nothing we can do about it. Really?! I am trusting you with my most sensitive data, but there is nothing you can do about something so simple as erroneous emails? Now adding fuel to the dumpster fire adding photos to documents no longer works at all has the permission yet you attach it and it doesn't attach. Also, app crashes now pretty much every time I open it. Opened a technical support Ticket and other than their response of there is nothing we can do about it. They gave me a $10 credit. I don't want credit. I want a program that works and I really want a program that I can trust with my passwords and my sensitive documents. How is this hard to understand? The decisions they made in reworking this app are baffling at best. All I can think of is they started out with the idea of how do we get more money from our customers and then stopped creativity right there. So many issues with UI having to re-enter passwords having questionable choices when entering in passwords, for instance whiners do I have to hit shift after every single time I want to enter a number or character? Why do I have to login twice once for username ones for password and constantly on the second time I have to physically re-enter my password instead of it using Face ID? The list goes on and on but I think my favorite was after not hearing back from tech-support for a week and a half I got an email asking me how my support went and they're closing the ticket I never heard back from them it's insanity

My only gripe is that when opening from another app, it defaults to the "family" view instead of all passwords, making it more inconvenient. Otherwise the tool does what it's suppose to and it works fine.

1password was a great application until my phone broke and while re-installing they tried to force me to move to the cloud. All of my passwords are in a local vault and I can not access them! I don't have a secret key and I never needed one when migrating before. Don't trust this company with your data.
1Password: Password Manager - Product Description
1Password has been helping folks forget their passwords since 2006. Trusted by millions of people and more than 150,000 businesses, "1Password offers the best combination of features, compatibility, security, and ease of use" among password managers, according to The New York Times Wirecutter.

== Generate strong passwords ==
Use the built-in password generator to create strong, unguessable passwords with a tap, then access those secure passwords on any device. 1Password works across popular operating systems as a browser extension, mobile app, or desktop app.

== Sign in automatically ==
Autofill your username and saved passwords when signing in to websites or apps. 1Password for iPhone and iPad works with Safari and apps so you can sign in to your online accounts without the hassle. You can even download a dedicated 1Password for Safari browser extension for even more seamless integration.

== Built-in two-factor authentication ==
1Password can also create and autofill one-time two-factor authentication codes for services that support 2FA, so there’s no need for a separate authenticator app – and no more copying and pasting.

== Industry-leading passkey support ==
Did you know there’s a more convenient and secure alternative to passwords? They’re called passkeys, and you can generate and save those in 1Password, too – and even use them to unlock 1Password. For sites that support passkeys, you’ll never have to generate another password.

== Sign in with other providers ==
If you sign in to websites or apps with Apple or other providers in a web browser, you can store and sign in with those logins in 1Password, too.

== Secure and organize your digital life ==
Faster sign-ins are only the beginning. In addition to managing passwords and passkeys, you can store credit cards, secure notes, banking info, medical records, and anything else you want to protect in 1Password, so your most valuable personal information is always available on any device.

== Share anything, securely ==
Share passwords and anything you store in 1Password with anyone, even if they don’t use 1Password. Securely (and temporarily) share Wi-Fi details, financial information, and other sensitive info with friends, family, or colleagues to keep that information out of insecure channels like email and messaging apps.

== Security made easy ==
Strong password generation is a big win for your personal security, but 1Password is much more than a password vault. Security features include unlocking 1Password with biometric authentication (including Touch ID or Face ID), and real-time security alerts and reporting through Watchtower. You’ll know immediately if your accounts are compromised in a data breach, so you can take the necessary action.

== Travel Mode ==
Protect your data from prying eyes while traveling with Travel Mode. Temporarily hide vaults containing sensitive information and restore them when you’re home.

== Uniquely secure, completely private ==
Protect yourself and your family from cyber criminals with 1Password’s unique, industry-leading security. We can’t see your 1Password data, so we can’t use it, share it, or sell it. Learn more about our security model at 1Password.com/security.
