Information phishing

They want you to put all your personal information, your face picture, your phone number, they even want all your contacts and to force you to invite people over to the app even before they give you a try of the app. I don't want a try something that just wants to take all the data from me. I'm pretty sure you can't trust the privacy policy of these guys.

Good luck without an invite

If you don't have an invite, none of your contacts are on Cantina, and you don't want to recommend an app you haven't even gotten to try yet to anyone you know, the app is useless.

it collects your phone number and email and doesn't let you delete them from the service and then you get placed in a fake waitlist and you have to force 3 people on the app in order to use it
