Preliminary review (after 10 min). It feels like what I was after: relative ease of use, good looking, tons of options (grid, lon/lat, layers..), no fuzz with socials, no ads, compatible with a wide range of formats provided you pay 5 euros or so per functionality (fair retribution for a programmer's work). For now one star less because the saving of an area for offline use is unintuitive, and seems limited to reusing the data stored in cache during online use: so scroll & zoom everywhere first)
