This company believes in treating its customers harshly and in a thoughtless manner. I strongly urge potential customers to avoid the Avant card. First disappointment arose when soon after issuing to me my card/account they reduced my credit limit by $500 without any notice or warning to myself whatsoever, which reduction created non-trivial difficulty when I went to make a purchase. Second disappointment arose when their app BADLY malfunctioned and registered multiple payments on my payment due date when I had actually made only one payment. The unexplained multiple/redundant debits to my checking account caused overdrafts and payment failures (first in my life!) to other cards and caused fees concerning which Avant has never compensated me. To get Avant to reverse the failed payment fees they themselves assessed when not all of the redundant payments succeeded required many hours of my time and in course of that hellish waste of my time Avant failed to do the things they had promised. Thirdly, months after the just described nightmare had been caused by their malfunctioning app they are waiting 14 days to credit my monthly payment, which practice only began after some of the inexplicable redundant payments had failed. In summary, WebBank (which administers the Avant card) has light years to go as regards taking care of its customer, unlike a Chase or Citibank or Marcus who have treated me well. *** As an Avant card holder be prepared to suffer when the bank makes a mistake. *** They truly could not care less. I rate the WebBank Avant card an F-.

They started charging me a monthly fee without notice causing my account to be past due requiring late fee payments

Worthless customer service apparently only one supervisor available the entire time never got on the phone worst card worst service worst company don't even be part of them. They don't care about you all they want is money they charged me $10.87 for something I didn't use or buy this is their surcharge. But because I didn't pay that surcharge and they never notified me. Did I mention that they're worthless.

the app is not working correctly

Asking me to download the app from the app. Doesn't tell me payment due

every time I use my card it declines. I always have to call customer service to provide my info and confirm my identity every single time. I stop using it.

I notice a $9 fee automatically being applied to my account. I'm told I must pay it with no excuse as to what it is or why I can't get it taken off. CS says I was emailed with new terms that auto applied. BS. They're robbing me and nothing I can do about it because I use the credit card and pay on time every month. Never been late.

Not happy with charging a monthly fee been a loyal customers for years. Just does not seem the thing to do. Would no longer recommend to friends.

No card ever received, and already have bill due no way am I paying for something I've never received… this is crazy I've never seen a more unprofessional group … I trust it will be taken care of or I'll have my lawyers on it .. I don't recommend…. Go with a longer and more well known Company….
