App stops playing after about 3 minutes even if you set the timer. You have to constantly hit play so you always have to be next to your phone. Very inconvenient. Not a great way to listen to audio books.

Long time user and I buy a lot of books here.
So, I've used and loved the app for a very long time. It's great. However for the past 6 months or so the app will NOT open audiobooks in the place you left off. It begins from the start. For a while I just added a bookmark, now half of those are gone. HELP

I have a Galaxy Tab A 8which has Android 10. I have been running Chirp Audio Books on it for a couple of years and was even listening to an audio book this morning. Went to update the software and Play Store says: now it is not usable for this device. Hello?? I've been using app for years

Interface Challenges
I like the deals on Chirp and that they don't require you to subscribe to their services. However, this is a classic case of you get what you pay for. The app is glitchy and won't always play the audiobook and is really bad at automatically bookmarking where you are. I may have to go back to Audible.

It's a great app that works well! The problem comes in with the library. You can't purchase from the app. The pricing is somewhere between not bad and ridiculous. And the available selection in the Chirp collection has some odd holes.

Cheap Audiobooks; Horrible App
Imagine getting a good audiobook for cheap but when you listen to a few hours and return to it another day it restarts at the beginning with no record of your listening or ending point. And also imagine an app for audiobooks that has features to listen in the car but no CarPlay app. Puzzling.

Just okay
I bought a book that was not available at my library or like, anywhere. It was expensive here but I got it with a discount. The player leaves something to be desired. It's glitchy and clunky. Hopefully they work on updating it as people want an Amazon alternative. I will usually stick with the library but would use this again if I couldn't find a book I really wanted.

I am not giving this app any stars because it's a scam. So essentially, it says that it's "free subscription" and "no fees," but they charge you per book, lol. I guess it might be helpful to some, but the selection of books isn't that large. Also to buy a book you must go to a different website. To delete your account, you must visit a separate website and do a whole process to get it deleted.
