Inaccurate App
The app doesn't tell you when charging stations are down. It's a literal guessing game out here. Makes me regret getting an EV tbh.

Pricing
I don't like that i was charged more than the pricing on the app, and when i called to complain i was told that the pricing on the app had not yet been updated.

Ads, Ads, Ads
The EVgo app will pester you with advertising push notifications that you cannot disable. You can disable ALL notifications, but then you won't get updates when your car is charging. Lame. Also, how is there still no support for Apple Wallet after all these years?

Beware
It put a $50 hold when I didn't really need that much electricity. I understood that. But then when it dropped down to the $13 that I had actually used, I still had a hold on my account and it held everything in the account, not just $50. My bank said my card had been flagged for fraud because these people have a history of fraud complaints. I would be very careful. Choose Electrify America. I use the EA app and it's awesome.

Can’t unplugged the charger.
I've charge twice since I got my car, and I have to call the costumer service to help me unplugged. In fairness I was able to get hold of them right away and resolves the problem

Rip off and totally unreliable
Evgo is horrible. They are an absolute rip off. They're more than twice the cost of gas if you say 3.70 a gallon and 40 mpg. Evgo is not reliable. Most stations are broken. Offline. And full. And when charging it prematurely stops before it should. Its charge speed is way too slow. Should be 4 times faster. Should not have to wait over an hr to get fully charged. Public charging is many years away from being reliable and readily available plus the cost has to lower by more then half. The only way to go is charge at home. If you can't then don't get an ev.

This app makes me want to sell my EV
Shockingly bad experience from account creation to adding a payment method and ATTEMPTING to charge my car. Have not yet been able to even get it to connect to the EV charger in front of me! Beyond unimpressed with this user experience and their chargers, the majority of which seem to be out of order.

Freezes when trying to Report An issue
Click on the Customer Support/help menu and than “Report Issue” and the app freezes which will require a restart.

Zero response w/out App
Only ONE charger at Mothers Market. Shopped for a half hour waiting for availability, and then got nothing using my EVgo card or credit cards. Opened the app and all was beautiful. Might be frustrating for those without the app.
