Flex is not 100% easy to chat
Great app and great staff. BUT. it's a huge headache to reach customer service because you have to “throw darts” and play an answer game just to get out of the chatbot to get an agent request. Sadly, there's no straightforward way to reach support. You hit support in the app it takes you to the website where you gotta get the right answer or it gives you more questions just to open an option to reach an agent , so annoying , frustrating and actually SCARY UNRELIABILITY TRYING TO CREATE A REQUEST FOR AN AGENT, so I give a bittersweet 3 stars. TO FLEX: Hey! Give us a simple chat button to press and that's it!! Not a maze of questions to get a bubble that says contact support. No. That's too difficult that you set a maze of questions in the chat bot and if we can't answer our problem correctly we get road blocked by the chatbot. FLEX: YOU NEED A PHONE NUMBER TO SIMPLY CALL AND EMAIL SUPPORT AND INSTANT CHAT. Your app is very poor on reaching those agents!!!!!

Lies with 1st payment
They took out the first payment 1 day earlier than my actual rent was due. Caused a boat load of headache because I didn't have funds in that account since it was the end of day. I wouldn't recommend this at all and the name “flex” is misleading. The only date you change is the second payment but that's out of the question. My second month and my last using this lying company.

Fraudulent and incompetent
They say they will wait till the 3rd of the month to take your rent but they will force it through even when you don't have the funds to cover it. Even on the last day of the month. They'll sneak in other fees too. Shameful.

There's no way to talk to someone to update or change your rent. If your rent increases you have to do a new credit pull. They won't even let you leave a review.

Pause if not making payment on time
Place account on hold or pause if you can when you're not able to make payment on time. Once it tries to process your payment and not able to go thru twice they close your account completely. I've tried reactivating my account since June 2024. I still cannot get my account reactivated. I've contacted them through email (only way you can) more than 3 times and still nothing has been done.

Doesn’t work/ poor communication
I have a 680 credit score and I can't get approved because they believe my credit score is too low. I sent an email to see what the minimum score has to be and they said they can't disclose that information. The gave me a bunch of suggestions on why I didn't get approved, but none of the suggestions that are not relevant to my situation. They don't even has a direct line, communication is over email with a bot.

Great idea but not the best at all
There needs to be more options in spilling payments. Give option to pay every week or every two weeks. If I still have to pay 2/3 upfront. Plus a fee for each payment and a monthly fee… scam. Taking advantage of people being in tough spot.

I am unhappy about the fact that I am being charged more than the amount of rent I am to be paying. Thinking about deleting app.
