Wont work
Every time I try to login it gives me a message saying your details have been saved successfully and once I click the continue button it sends me back into the login screen which has forced me to use the desktop version

The app is unreliable and very buggy for such a big CU
I've only banked with the massive national banks and wanted to try out a credit union, and Golden 1 seemed like a good place to start, and with all their advertising I didn't think they'd be pushing for so many new customers if they didn't have a modern reliable app. Unfortunately their app is extremely buggy and out of date. I've seen some things online that they have been working on developing a new app for some time and wondering what that timeline is, however I don't have very high expectations as it looks like the new partner they chose, Candescent, does lots of CU apps and from my digging their apps appear to be pretty much a copy and paste experience from one bank to the next, which I'm afraid will be more of the same. In the meantime, my main complaints about the current app that I am hoping they will fix in the next iteration (and soon!!) are: - the location finder takes you out of the app, which is not a smooth experience. But once you're on the mobile website the locator does not even work. The map will default to 1 location on the list and you can't select or see more than the first random location it defaulted to, making it unusable. This is especially frustrating when I feel like I can't trust the co-op's list since the co-op says Golden 1 is only a branch member, not an atm member - very confusing. - secure messages take you out of the app to the mobile site. - the app won't let me login, saying there's a security issue and I have to delete and redownload the app. - Face ID stops working - account will be locked and I have to reset my password - you can't set up autopay from the app (or website). You have to print and fill out a form (and even with the form can only autopay from a G1 checking account) - have to manually add trips to each card. And you can only add a trip for one card at a time, trips don't apply to multiple cards. This especially is frustrating when other banks no longer require trip reporting at all. - this app is very buggy, slow, and feels out of date. Disappointing for such a large CU. Things take forever to load.

Periodically, this app goes under updates and repair. That's annoying enough. Then, it randomly shuts off thumbprint verification. "For your protection." There's enough protection in the sign-in process for you not to randomly shut off my thumbprint recognition. Get rid of the feature. It's annoying. I needed to know what was in my account at a moment's notice today. Thanks to your thumbprint verification protection, I lost out on an opportunity.

Enhancements
It would be nice if the app had the “supporting associated domains” attributes filled out so we can use password managers to store our secure passwords. User interface is manageable, but could use so updates.

This app never works right.
Signing in to this app is torture. It blocks Touch ID almost on a daily basis. Or, it says can't verify credentials. It ridiculous that a major financial institution can not present a properly functioning app. Please do better.

Frozen
In the process of making an internal transfer, I was sent a verification code. My iPhone rang, I answered and was in conversation long enough for the code to expire. After that I requested a ‘resend' code and the page froze. Was able to make the transfer with a telephone representative. However, the page remains frozen. I cannot logout, or swipe the page. No longer functioning or able to use. So I deleted the App.

2/27/25: App is consistently saying it's unable to validate my information. Have to go through a browser as the app won't work on my phone. And yes, I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it with no success.
