And we’re back to trying to con people into purchasing this app twice
Last year, having got fed up with you doing this year after year, I said that that if you did it again I would go to trading standards and publicise your behaviour. So you have done it again, so it's time that your behaviour got called out for what it is.

Edited to update. If you want to access the crosswords in any usable way now, at the very least as an android user, you have to first uninstall this app. Yes not only does the in-app crossword functionality not work, but it also destroys the Web based crossword functionality. If this saved you time you are welcome.

Not possible to share access
My wife and I share subscriptions to various media. She purchased a subscription to the guardian, and there is no way to access the guardian she purchased with her Apple ID on my devices unless I sign out of my Apple ID on my device and sign in to her Apple ID. This is the only media that requires this, and we find it difficult unreasonable. As the subscription was for a year, that means that I do mot have access to the guardian for a year until we cannot allow this to renew. Very disappointing.

I used to have it. Now I won't cede to the pressure they make, pretending to be some small impartial source of news. They're not small at all, neither are they impartial. I read it to glance on its views, always noticing they have a clear side. By the way, it's Oscars time now. They have a section on the Oscars movies. It's funny, as there are only four movies listed there, even though five are nominated for best picture, right? They're entirely ignoring one of them. Impartial...

I was disappointed that having paid, believing it would work on both my devices, I find I can not open on my ipad, and there is no refund available.

‘No one wants to pay $25 for breakfast’ and no one wants to pay $100/year for online news
I literally just read ‘No one wants to pay $25 for breakfast' and I went to the in-app subscriptions link to give you my money. But $100? Just like I'm not paying $25 for breakfast, I'm not spending $100 on subscribing to your app when I can read articles online for free. This article, on your own platform, talks about consumers stretching their pennies. Maybe developers need to read the articles before coming up with subscription amounts. You're literally driving people away.

I like the The Guardian as a newspaper but I noticed there is a tracker inside the app from X/Twitter, gathering data about my phone. Why is that? I thought The Guardian left X/Twitter.
