most importantly, I love having access to such a big library! I listen to a lot of audiobooks and Hoopla has been a game-changer. but the app has a few downsides. I wish I could easily get to chapter markers rather than having just one progress bar for the whole book. it's really tough to navigate, rewind, etc. And the pause/play function on my headset doesn't work probably. I can pause but I have to open the app on my phone and hit play to get it to start again.

in many occasions the audio book wasn't available or it wasn't saved at the last use. After pausing the audiobook, fairly often the book will restart from the beginning. Very annoying especially if you don't remember at what chapter the audiobook was paused. Hoopla won't allow to borrow more than 5 titles per month, that's a big minus!!!!

app keeps closing, I have updated all settings and restarted my phone. it will play for a bit after the screen locks, then shut down.

The search function is good and the audiobooks are organized well. Playback is almost non-functional once you pause, which is annoying if you leave your phone screen off and away from you. At several times, a downloaded book could not be open. The only fix was reinstalling the app (which means you lose your download). The app as is would be ideal if you have the phone in hand, unlocked, and you don't care about using data. Otherwise it leaves some things to be desired.

I like the books, movies, etc. available but my only complaint is that when I want to view a TV PBS series that may have 5 or more episodes, I don't get to watch them all as they count separately and I reach my limit. why can't one show equal 1, instead of 5 or more so that a limit on borrows is reached too soon. This happens to me alot.

Love the availability of all that my library has to offer, but the app's functionality isn't great. I'm using the audiobook feature and it keeps randomly pausing. It also doesn't allow bluetooth headphones to rewind 15 seconds. You have to open your phine to do it. Very cumbersome.

more choices than just books. However, the search function isn't very user friendly. And if you ever pause an audiobook, you can't simply hit play. To restart you need to go back into the app and access the title. Wearing earbuds I can simply pause/start with a button on any other app is very nice. Hoopla doesn't do that.

this is a great app for listening to audio books and music but ever since the new update there's a collective daily borrow limit that everyone shares. it's dumb cause half the time I try to borrow something it won't let me. and you only get 4 borrows a month.
