Instacart customer service is horrible.
I have had several orders with incorrect pricing and promos that didn't work. I've cancelled the service now but I wasted several hours and never got any actual help through the help chat or the national phone number.

You'll wait 45 min to an hour to get a shopper assigned and then It'll take about 3-5 hours to receive your order (occasionally not), and you end up paying more than you would just driving to store and putting up with the chaos

Review
The order was great it came early. However, I am not sure why the person left it outside and didn't even bother to text or call me saying anything about it. It was outside for a half hour. I only knew because I looked at the Instacart app and they told me. Regardless everything was fine besides that

Smell
When you order fruits and vegetables and other food, you expected to smell like what it actually is. about a year ago I guess my driver decided to smoke [name] before he delivered mine and everything I ordered smelled of pot. all the food and even the bags it actually gave me a headache. I tried to complain about it and nothing was done. All I was left with was a bunch of $100 + food that I had to throw out because it was smelling up my house. Since there's a lack of common sense with your drivers, shouldn't you be training them? Especially if you do nothing about it.

Do better
This app is horrible. Whether you tip or not you'll have long wait times as they constantly bundle orders. I'm convinced no matter how high you tip you get bundled with someone who doesn't so that order gets taken delaying yours in the process. They don't pay their workers right and they hire idiots. Yes there are some good shoppers but many are lazy. Orders get delayed frequently in my area and shoppers just are bad at their job. So many things get left out because shoppers are working on multiple orders then have other deliveries to do by the time it gets here somethings are left out over 2 hours. I just can't

Terrible!
Previous, under the “Credits, promos, and gift cards” tab, it can show what offer is activated with the details of the offer. Now this information is hided and there is no way to check!!! Under the “Credits, promos, and gift cards”, now it only shows my gift card balance change history! Please bring back the promo details!!!

Flawed Support System
Everything functions as promised, but when you have an issue, things get hard. You have to fight through a convoluted dispute system that tries to stop you at every turn, and when you finally do get through, your ONLY option is to have the amount returned as a credit to your account, there is NO option for a REFUND to the payment method that you used. I just ordered four of one item and two of another; I received one of each. When I disputed this, I was only able to get the money that I was shorted returned to me as a credit to my account. That's ridiculous - I don't want an Instacart gift card, I want my money back or the items to be delivered to me. When I have issues with DoorDash or Uber Eats, they will refund the entire order to my card AND have another driver redeliver it to me. With Instacart, you get your money back in a way that can only be used on their platform, and they do nothing to get you your items. Do NOT download, use DOORDASH or UBEREATS. They BOTH have GROCERIES and will not SCAM you if their drivers mess up. Unreal.
