iRobot Home - Latest Quality Issues

Very rapid wear of the rollers which requires changing them regularly, 30€ each time. The movement is anarchic, the robot goes over the same places several times and ignores others. The history no longer works. There are bugs in the programming of the work schedule. For example, it goes twice on Monday at different times when I only programmed one pass. Impossible to prevent that. Well since it is there I am happy with it but I regret my purchase.

I have owned an i7+ for several years. After the last update, every time the robot does not have enough charge to complete the operation, even though it restarts and finishes the requested areas, it automatically cancels the operation. This causes it to return to the base but does not empty the container. If the cleaning is done with a sufficient charge, the operation ends successfully. This occurs after the latest App updates.

Mapping could be better. Can't see on the map where the robot is.

Not happy with the app; you can't even manually operate your robot vacuum cleaner if it gets stuck. You have to physically put it back on the charging station. Very annoying if you are at work and you can't do this. What is the point of a camera function if you can't operate the vacuum cleaner from the app? It really doesn't make sense. In addition, too few options to set times and schedules. You can only choose 1 fixed time every day.

I can't create exclusive cleaning zones for each map. For example, I have a map with several cleaning zones, but I only want it to clean two of them... well, I can't. In the previous application I could, and for me this is a hassle... either I clean the whole map or else it won't let me select zones.

I have the iRobot 697, very disappointed even with the application which is not very intuitive, the robot is very noisy, you can't change the suction speed, it doesn't map anything, it does the rooms at random, it takes 2 hours to find its charging station when it's right in front of it. Do not recommend at all!

Very complicated to set up. Very often gives errors. Impossible to create zones and give them a name. In summary, the app is not at all intuitive. I regret my purchase. I much preferred the old model, without an app and much more efficient.

After today's update, my iRobot acts as if it lost all knowledge of its map orientation. Now, it can't find any rooms or even recognize when it's already sitting in the correct room. It can't even find its own home when it's right next to it.

Great user interface but end of 2024 and starting 2025 the app has been lagging and failing to even open.
