Poor app and user experience

The ITVX app is one of the worst streaming plafforms there is. While playing work OK if you pay for the subscription, it doesn't quite play so well when you're not (the ads seem to through things regularly, where your programme doesn't restart after the ads). The most frustrating though is that after a while, programmes seem to disappear from your ‘continue watching' list and there's no indication of what you have watched and what you haven't. I have been reqatching Midsomer Murders and Vera, but they have gone off my watch list as I haven't watch an episode for a little while and now, there's nothing to tell me where I got too, something pretty much every other platform does and does well. ITVX doesn't.

Malware app

This app adds an unnecessary and irrelevant Safari browser extension to steal income from other sources. Shame on you ITV 😒

Programs are good app rubbish

The adds play perfectly, quite often twice each, at a single break. The program comes back on and the sound is either slightly or completely out of sync with the picture. The app takes ages to load, (all the other sides iPlayer, five and four, even u! are almost instantaneous). Please fix it as programs are often the best. This is the same on iPad, and Samsung series 7 to.

Unstable on every platform

ITV, sort it out! The ITVX player app is rubbish both in on phones and TV's. Hangs randomly in the middle of programmes (usually when the adverts have just finished) and you have to come out of the app and restart it. Feels like a toddler made it, not at all seamless or slick like other streaming apps.

Glitchy

I'm about to give up on the app. I really enjoy the programs on this app, but the app functionality is poor. Every couple of minutes an add starts playing. Sometimes the app seems to get stuck in a loop, replaying the same advert and the only way to stop it is to come out of the app and go back in. Then I have to sit through more adverts :(

I agree with granny my app has frozen for the umpteenth time. Great catch ups but how to watch them without freezing Why? Other apps don't do this!!!?

Crashes constantly

Been using this for a while, including BBC IPlayer, 4, 5, Netflix and this is the only app that crashes repeatedly. It just circles with a black screen. I even tried paying Premium to see if it would work but it's exactly the same. I googled the problem and the only response I could see was ‘clear your cache'. Did that and it still crashes. Worst TV app I have and on top of that, nowt new to watch.
