Kijiji Has Died
I'm writing this is a small business owner who has been using Kijiji for well over a decade. The recent Kijiji update has officially killed Kijiji. Not only are you REQUIRED to pay to post a listing now, but also, the quality of leads have become infinitely worse as opposed to how they were even just two short years ago. After spending nearly $200 on advertisements, I was only met with persistent scam callers, spam messages & other forms of harassment. All from people with big, thick Indian accents. Kijiji has become a complete playground for Indian scammers to take your information and sell it to other Indian scammers. Bombarding your phone with marketing calls. This is a big slap in the face to all of us who have been using this app for so long, paying tens of thousands of dollars over the years in “features” for our listings. Absolute disgrace. Kijiji ought to be absolutely ashamed of themselves & the CEO should be immediately fired for ruining what was once such a great app.

Chat is clunky.
If you leave chat in the middle of a message you lose it and have to start all over . It's 2024.

Over all lazy programmers
What's with the notifications why do I have to go back into it in 3 steps when I back out to look at the next notification and why do I have to keep hitting the unread notifications every time. And why is all of a sudden on a saved search is it defaulting to “best match” I don't care about a best match from 6 months ago I want to see the most recent searches. Are programmers lazy or you just want to keep losing market share to fb. Actually use the app and see there's so many steps to get where you want when you only need half of the steps.

Switching to FB Marketplace
If I'm going to be bombarded by sponsored product ads, I shouldn't have to pay to post a low value (eg. $20) item without it being boosted in the search results in any way. I've been using Kijiji for many years, but that's just silly. Kijiji is clearly making money on sponsored content and people boosting their ads, they shouldn't charge me to sell an old lamp or whatever. The platform is pretty good otherwise, but I'm frustrated enough by this money grab to finally switch to Facebook Marketplace instead.

Not Easy to Report Creepy Users
Considering Kijiji makes you pay monthly to post. You would think they, like every other App would make it easy to report when a user is sexually inappropriate, scam, doing illegal activities. But there is no easy way to simply Flag a user. Leaving largely female users to be crept on and messaged by creeps, who go unflaged. Who's in charge of this App? Men? Who's protecting users on Kijiji?

Notifications are broken
I keep getting icon notifications for search history and price changes. I don't want them. Notification list always has a pop up asking me to turn notifications on. They are on, and i keep getting ones i don't want. I want message notifications only. Fix the app
