Brilliant concept- buggy app
I love the service but the app is super buggy and unstable- constantly stops playing, crashing and doesn't synchronize tags and lists across the app and web.

Loved Overdrive
Libby is difficult to navigate, harder to go back in the chapters, you find a chapter then have to use 5 second increments to find your place. Kindle does not use this app. Availability of books is not noted until it is picked out, unless you go to the menu and pick available books. Categories are very limited, Juvenal, young adult etc, instead of subject matter. So finding a book of interest without knowing the title or writer's name is difficult. The Icons are not self explanatory, have to keep poking at them until you find what you're looking for. Overdrive was a much smoother application to use, easy to understand, and use. I waste more time trying to find a book with Libby.

Interface is bad
I still miss Overdrive. Overdrive was easy to use. There were no animations. There were intuitive menus and easy searches. Libby's interface does not do this. It is hard to navigate, not intuitive, looks unprofessional, is full of animations, and the menus were replaced by pictures that don't make sense. The search is awful. It is harder to find books and to see what the library has. It isn't even clear from glancing at the search if the library has the book. Overdrive clearly delineated that. I will say the player has added one or two useful features. BUT that's literally the only improvement. It is a FAR inferior product that does the same thing that Overdrive did, but worse and uglier. Overdrive wasn't broken. Why did you save Libby, the immature little sibling app, and sacrifice the OG original that was actually fun to use?

I love this app, but…
I'm conflicted criticizing an app that I love so much and is arguably one of the most used apps on my phone. But the audio book function needs a serious upgrade. It frequently doesn't save the place where you leave off which means you end up re-listening to content. I believe it has something to do with switching from cellular to WiFi but not sure. It's gotten so frustrating now I try to take a screen shot before I stop listening so I can pick where I left off.

Using only with WiFi becoming impossible
This app has become terribly frustrating to use in the last few releases. I use Libby with WiFi only, and books I've been listening to will not allow me to go back a chapter when no WiFi is available. I start playing a few books befor I leave home to make sure they are playable and once I'm away from WiFi it will not play them, as it apparently needs to reload them. If I have cellular coverage I bite the bullet and enable it but this has happened to me in airplanes. It used to happen with books which I haven't istened to in a while, but now it's almost every book. As mentioned even when trying to pre-load them by listening a few minutes it will break if I try to go back to earlier chapters and won't even let me resume in a position where it was working just a minute before. Please revert to the way it was just a few weeks ago, when it was better (but far from perfect. why would you allow to jump HOURS ahead when unadvertedly touching the lock screen while returning the phone to my pocket, and no obvious way to return to where I was)
