A lifetime subscription... that doesn't last. In 2022, I bought a lifetime subscription and received a new bild for a new subscription in december 2024. No explanation from memrise. A lifetime registration... which does not last. In 2022, I had taken out a lifetime subscription and received a new bill in December 2024. No explanation of memrise.

So far, so good. It is helping me slowly learn Japanese. However, at this point,making me communicate with AI as part of my curriculum is pointless. The AI, as far as I can tell, doesn't conform to the words you know or the level you are. It just goes straight out the gate at a high level. Due to that, I had to use translate and type my answers in Eng and have the app translate. It would be nice if the AI didn't start until you at least got most of the way through basic conversational levels.

Memrise is a very good app for learning new words, but these constant reminders to buy the pro version, and the very reduced functionality of the regular version, I don't like😔 it at all, I understand that developers need to make money, but, this happens very often and even some scenarios are not available in the free version, in general, the application is cool, but there is little functionality for the free version

THIS IS TERRIBLE SCAM! I HAVE PRO BUT THE APP IS STILL USELESS! I canceled my subscription because it doesn't make sense now, no community courses, previously I had started courses at different levels, now it all disappears, it's hard to know about the level and current progress...

I used to be a dedicated Memrise user a couple of years ago. We used to have community courses, the graphics were easy on the eye & charming, and I worked hard to continue learning. After the big (TM) update, the app started skewing towards AI. Now, I'd say 50% of the learning methods are by learning with AI and it's so lifeless. I came back after three years to see what had changed and... there's no option to go back to old Memrise and even a NEW AI option. They don't listen to users at all.

The app is very well done, I like it, especially I like that the pronunciation is clear and distinct! The exercises are good. The structure of the app is not yet clear to me and therefore does not appeal to me yet. The only real disturbing factor is the acoustic feedback during the exercises. If there's no way to turn that off, I won't take the paid version, because that bothers me a lot. I hope for feedback from the developer.
