■ 4th review. As expected, I continue to receive spam. Even if you set the spam reception rejection setting, it does not even detect spam with the same subject line, and the trouble of reporting spam is meaningless. In other words, the situation has not changed at all from the time of the first review. So I rated it ✩ I returned it to the lowest ■ 3rd review. Spam Blocking Settings Found. By default, it is a mystery that it is OFF, but I turned it on for the time being. While I was touching it, another similar setting page appeared. It is a mystery that there are two places, but I turned this on as well. After that, we will wait and see. This is because it is described as a "number", so it is not reliable to judge spam by the subject and body content, so / The way to the page is unclear in both cases. UPDATE: Tried uninstall & RCS still doesn't work. Tried all the steps outlined in support twice more & still stuck in "setting up" on Pixel Pro 8! Google will not verify my number for RCS chats. The status is stuck in "Setting up..." and either stays like that or asks that I verify again. I have followed instructions provided by Google in other reviews to turn on Airplane mode, clear caches, etc. from Google Support and it still doesn't work. I would appreciate some help. I have a Pixel 8 Pro.

how do I mute conversations? The other app was easy. Tap 3 dots, mute convo. Even when I have message set to silent, I'm still getting notifications.

Chat no longer works. Gets stuck on configuration. A chat bubble that conflicts Messenger chat bubbles. Unable to use Messenger chat bubbles. Forced to go through this inconvenient app for speech bubbles.

Really would like the option to shut off notifications for select contacts. Not just silence them. When notification reminders are on, it will sound on the reminder still. With samsung messages it gave us the option to shut them off and they wouldn't sound on reminders.

A complete joke If I'm talking to somebody I have to hit airplane mode on and off in order to receive their message every time m Well my phone will be quiet for hours and then I'll hit the airplane mode button on and off again and all these missed calls and text from way earlier all of a sudden show up. And this is my business phone so it's made me look completely ridiculous, thanks, Google. 👍🏼

Google Messages forces me today to login with google account to view my sms messages now. Can not cancel the process. I am trapped, can not view my messages. (Original "review contains obscene, profane, or offensive language" so I had to self moderate. But we all know what words express frustration the best).
