One star from me, would have given 5 stars in the past. I have just found out metro is now charging for overseas transactions since the end of August 2024. Currently on holiday in Spain and after reviewing the payments I could not believe I was being charged. Goodby metro bank :( you jokers

The app itself is great, but it has a problem with scaling. On Google pixel 8 pro the navigation bar is hiddet under the bottom navigation bar of the phone.

Really getting fed up with the repeated alerts of transactions.... Sometimes 3 hours after and up to 6 notifications spaced about 15 minutes after each other at random times. Lastnight, I got money out from Ana ATM, 3 hours layer I got a notification, then every 20 minutes or so after that for 2 hours... I have alerts om to know if fraud is occurring, but multiple alerts? Nah mate... makes me want to leave Metro. Sort it out!!! FFS!!!

App suddenly stopped working on my phone "Sorry the app can't be used on this device" I have clearwd cache, cleared data, deleted and reinstalled metrobank app. AFAICS nothing changed on phone between yesterday when it worked and today

Can't even talk to support on the app it just prompts you to logout every time you press anything after clicking the contact support button

Avoid to work with this bank. I was having an account with them from 5 years ago and now they want to close my account for a reason that they can't tell me. I was with my dother to open her an account on my account because she is a minor and after a week they they send me a letter that they will close my account.

There were problems
Ahsan was very helpful but he was the third person I spoke to. I was made to hang up and call back because we kept getting logged out as I was entering my password wrong. The reason I was entering my password wrong is because Lester who I saw in Brighton branch incorrectly allowed me to create a password that was way too long. I now know that passwords need to be 15 characters maximum, but he did not tell me that and he let me type it into his computer with about 20 characters. I have been on the phone for ages and ages and it was super stressful, but it has finally been resolved. Anyway, I now successfully have a password and a banking app I can use so big thank you to Ahsan.

Registration - Getting Started
Whether you’re an existing or new Metro Bank customer it’s simple to get started.
- If you’re registered for online and telephone banking, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number, 8 digit security number and your password
- If you’re not registered for either, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number and the details of the card you used most recently or your Magic Word.

Metro Bank’s mobile app is available for Personal customers and also Business customers if they’re using Business Internet Banking only.
