An ok app
Pretty good, still can't scan cheques in, unlike many other banking app's, the log in does not show what numbers you are pressing on iPhone 7, so can lock out your account far too easily.

Naming convention
When trying to setup a payee which is another bank, it does not accept the Bank name, and following this it does not accept the name of the person as printed on the Bank debit card. What should have taken 20 seconds took 30 minutes having first gone through the automated bot Ada, and eventually getting through to a person, I had the issue of the naming convention issue. When asked for the payee which was a bank it would not accept the bank name

Card renewal by post
U take too long to deliver a new card after cancellation. Been 3 weeks now and I was told to wait. But how do u expect me to purchase certain items like topping up my oyster, getting out cash. I just have to borrow cash and now I got debt to pay. If we could pick up the card from the bank that would've been better. Metro needs to improve on this area of delay.

International payment
Quite easy to make payment to euro account but the exchange rate very low compared to other exchange options .

Well at least it works….
Blimey what a palaver. So we chose Metrobank for our community group because they are one of the few free banks who will provide a free account, and because they have good ethics. So far, several things have just completely not worked, for example: on-line purchases, changing my card pin, setting up payees on the website, and very limited cash withdrawals if you don't want to use a cash machine (I needed a specific amount). I don't really want the app - would rather use the website, and as I use it on my Ipad portrait format not that helpful - but at least it works! Hurray! And it's clear and easy to find your way around. I guess it's a keeper!

Slow, laborious app. (No app at all for the commercial account we hold) web interface clunky for both. Bulk payments flakey. Automated assistant on phone deeply irritating and useless.

Can’t add new payees
Why can't I add new payees via internet banking. App can do it. Website can't. It's been like this for months

Registration - Getting Started
Whether you’re an existing or new Metro Bank customer it’s simple to get started.
- If you’re registered for online and telephone banking, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number, 8 digit security number and your password
- If you’re not registered for either, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number and the details of the card you used most recently or your Magic Word.

Metro Bank’s mobile app is available for Personal customers and also Business customers if they’re using Business Internet Banking only.
