My account keeps being disabled after trying to send money. The chat AI is extremely unhelpful and continuously crashes. I was told that after re-uploading my ID, everything would be fixed. Did that not be fixed.

Unable to edit or make changes to profile, for instance, email. I had no access to my email, asked to change to a new one, was told only way is to close the account and create a new one 😲

My account was closed when I disclosed I was the victim of a cyberattack
Updated 1/27/25. I still stand by my review. Today Moneygram app developers “reviewed” my case after almost 1 moth and replied, “Thank you for your interest in MoneyGram Online. We apologize for delayed response. Please be informed that your profile was closed per your complaint, and you will be required to open a new profile with a new Email address.” I didn't have a complaint. I merely tried to change my email address. Just use a more reliable transfer service like Xe. Try not to become a victim of a cyberattack, or MoneyGram will close your account which is what they did to me. Most apps allow you to change your email in the settings when this happens but not MoneyGram. Send and receive your money with another company because you will be blamed and your account will be closed if you are victimized. Use Xe or Western Union.

They ban you if you send money to yourself. Very risky to use, especially if you have existing transfers and they ban you. Use a more reliable service like western union, that has much better customer support.

After they successfully let me send money to someone and have it taken out of my account, they sent me an email saying they disabled my account. Then after I contacted support about it, they responded by saying they're allowed to review any account, and after reviewing mine, they closed it. Absolutely no explanation whatsoever and now having to wait who knows how long for the money to be refunded. Plus, their email was written in broken English. Don't waste your time or money. Terrible service

Awful login process
Setting a new password is the most painful, wretched experience I've ever had. I'm so done, I'm using a different sending service after many years of using MoneyGram

Was troublesome. My debit card got canceled trying to use the service took all morning to get everything sorted out. Money went to where it was supposed to go though
