Just use the self portion, pros screw you
Used to love them… Forget the cost to have their professional review it, it cost me over $1k in refund when the pro unchecked box for disabled dependent. Never told me they unchecked it. Apparently I was supposed to review the pros work before I submit?! Why did I pay pro ? Found much more reliable apps/services.

really bad designed app. cant even restart my filing once i forgot to add something. every time i press the back button it just closes the app. really poor design.

I've been waiting after submitting tax documentation for well over a month. the status has been sitting with the Tax Pro and I've had absolutely no communication of any type. there is no option given on the app or website to contact them digitally despite saying that the message center(which is not available) is the best way to contact your pro. the app does a wonderful job making me feel like I have no agency or ability to reach out. so far I am very unhappy with the forced minimalism.

Useless app. I paid $110 for a "TaxPro" to help me. We spend hours on the phone, for her to tell me I have to speak to someone. I call them, and they tell me the TaxPro can help. Of course, I call my TaxPro, and she sticks to her guns. I restarted my taxes, and then I call in to get some assistance (my wife moved to my state midway through the year), and they have the gaul to tell me I have the free version and as such don't have access to live support. TurboTax is significantly better.

Slow, not intuitive, many free options do not work and force you to go through premium options. Also unable to download a copy of my return after filing.

I have tried to get earlier year tax returns that hr block was supposed to retain. and for some reason they're unavailable. I have done my taxes for years with hr block and never needed them until now. so where are they when I really need them. and if you're audited don't count on h&r block.
