Myzone® - Latest Quality Issues
Android
Dec 2, 2024
Great app in conjunction with the watch! With just a glance due to the color, you can immediately see in which area you are training, e.g. fat burning. Collecting MEPs motivates. At the moment, unfortunately, I have the problem that December is not displayed to me, and sometimes the displays are not correct in the summary, so 1 star deduction.

Recent changes
Recent changes with the myzone location and workout type are very annoying. People have voiced their opinion on the new changes and our feedback has not been taken in account. Very disappointing.

Stop making it so complicated!
Each update becomes more complex and less functional. I've been using this application a long time and don't understand the logic behind the updates. It feels like programmers are so into technology that they fail to understand what people who workout need and desire.

Frustrating device
I've had a Myzone for years. I've updated over the years but have consistently had issues with it. It's a great device when it works. It's really frustrating when it doesn't.

They now ask where the HR monitor is every time. Why can't it just be a default? Why can't I turn off it asking all the time and just assume defaults. I can edit later if I want to.

Gaps in workouts, Not recording
It's been a great app up until this week. It unfortunately now is recording the workouts and only choosing when it does. It's been reported twice, however no response. I'm a 4-5 times per week user so am disappointed. Hoping this can be rectified asap.

I was loving the app until your latest update. Too many buttons to click. Go back to what you had!

Poor Apple Watch Integration
No differentiation between indoor/outdoor running or cycling. No mileage associated with runs. Limited metrics. Display fogged out unless screen activates (no other app works this way and there is no reason for this). Connectivity to internal screens only via QR and does not always work. If this is a beta, it should be described as such.

Take out the mandatory ‘workout type’ check when adding a workout
You've added a few steps when entering data. I can understand the ‘belt location' question but why add the extra step of describing the workout when you're massively limited to the options. For example if I've done a bodybuilding workout plus cardio the only option I can pick is strength. It's adding friction to a process to make it longer and the only reason I can think of to do this would be to gather data for your benefit not the user.

At the heart of over 7500 gym chains in over 80 countries, Myzone is a unique wearable fitness brand that rewards effort rather than ability. It's the secret to motivating anyone to feel good about exercise. The Myzone app uses inclusive, game-based mechanics and social elements to prove time and time again that we're stronger together. When combined with a Myzone heart rate monitor, the app creates personalised zones, based on your maximum heart rate, which means anyone can compete together on a level playing field. Myzone integrates with many other platforms, including Apple Health. If you grant permission, we will save your activity calories, height, weight, BMI, BMR and body fat data to Apple Health. ▶ THE MOST ACCURATE TRACKERS Myzone heart rate monitors let you know the exact level that you're working out at, in real time. The heart rate monitoring system features electrocardiography (ECG) measurement that's accurate up to 99.4%, as used by health professionals. The MZ-Switch combines an ECG sensor with a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to create the world's first interchangeable heart rate monitor for the gym, outdoors or in water. ▶ LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD Myzone rewards effort over ability. Each device automatically updates how it records your effort, every time you progress through your goals. The five tailored effort zones make heart rate training easy to understand. Each zone is a percentage of your maximum heart rate, meaning that athletes and fitness newbies can exercise together to earn MEPs (Myzone Effort Points). ▶ WORLD-CLASS WORKOUTS Myzone means you can take part in live classes with real studio buzz, wherever you are. Exclusive to the Myzone app, MZ-Remote is the world's first virtual live group workout where participants can connect and exercise together, while receiving real-time biometric feedback and personalised coaching from a trainer. ▶ LOVED BY THE EXPERTS Myzone has been featured and reviewed by international journalists from publications such as Men's Fitness, Men's Health, Women's Health, The Huffington Post, GQ, T3, Wired and Esquire for over 10 years.
