Ugly unfriendly app
I don't know how NatWest does it, but every update makes the app look more and more ugly. The ui is not user friendly at all

Latest changes are a big backward step
Making payments used to be easy. Now several steps have been added which poor and unclear. ‘Move or transfer money' to pay someone? Not sure how these changes got past UX sign off. Latest update adds nothing but EVEN MORE CLICKS as you now have to select an account from the list and then select again to view. Send your UX team on some proper courses.

Frustrating
Just spent 30 minutes trying to make a simple payment but it would not allow me to change the reference on the Payee

New UI
Pointless UI change. Accounts now all bunched up on the Home Screen which makes it less readable. Lots of wasted space at the bottom of the screen and persistent approvals link at the top which never goes away even if there's nothing to approve. Two clicks just to see transactions. Awful premier logo branding persists. App still slow and clunky. Incoherent design; multiple purple loading splash screens despite choosing black themed app. Redesign the app properly and not with pointless superficial changes like this

Update in app double tap to see account
The new update means you have to tap twice to get into the account details because the tiles are now stacked— whyyyy 😭😭

Poorly thought through update
Now you have to click to highlight the account you want to then review. This just adds another layer between entering the app and getting to your account, why? Totally unnecessary makes the app cumbersome. Poor decision making by the app developers

Reprioritise useful information
I've always been very happy with the NatWest app until the latest update. The transaction scrolling window is now less than half my phone screen so I can only see 3 transactions at once. Please reprioritise being able to see useful information on this screen rather than a static graphic and account title. It also now takes 2 clicks to enter each account from the home page rather than 1 which is additional friction to accessing what I actually need. These changes seem to be going too far into design rather than usability and are immensely frustrating!

Latest update (28/2) says all my payment references contain invalid characters
After years, in some cases, of being fine, after the latest update all my payment references now contain invalid characters according to the app. Please revert to as it was. Good app otherwise.

New update/transactions
Using the new update to this app on my iPhone I can now only see a maximum of 2 transactions at a time on a tiny scrolling section at the bottom of the screen. Can this be fixed so that I can see a whole screen of transaction please?
