Annoying videos
The videos on the app are very annoying and there appears to be no way to stop them. Unfortunately, it's the same way on the website. Give us a way to pause these videos. Please! Update: I found a setting that I had not realized was there to turn off auto play on videos. Problem solved.

Slow, glitchy, and horrible UX
How hard is it to show text on a white webpage? If you're the NYT app: very hard! Just an absolutely horrible user experience. In a world where print media is dying, you'd think they'd try a little harder to hold onto subscribers by making a good mobile app. lol so much for that

So Partisan, Not Worth Even $4 a Month
App works fine. Easy to use as expected. I knew the NYT was partisan left, but I expected some balance from a “professional” organization. Constantly alerted to bad things the right does, but I've never seen any alerts for negative articles about anyone on the left. Most articles seem like what we used to only see in the opinion columns back in the day with real newspapers. At least the articles aren't strewn with mistakes and typos like Fox News and CNN. Your editor is good. **UPDATE** you lost another star after the election and I changed the title because I'm not giving you any more money. Op Ed central with no balanced reporting. If I wanted opinion pieces I'd just read social media posts. If social media had editors, that would be the New York Times.

Auto-scrolls to top of pge
The app mysteriously scrolls to top of home page, continuously. Then you scroll down to where you left off and have the annoying sequence repeat. Annoying and amateur, can you not find developers?

Yet again hyperlinks in the app not working.
Rookie errors. Again and again, pieces are released with the hyperlinks not working.

The app used to be great but now it doesn't update the news.
