Overall it's fine
It gets its articles out there which is what it's for, but as a subscriber I'm forced to endure WAY too many ads. I might as well not have subscribed. The app has got some bugs when it comes to commenting (namely being forced to login when wanting to comment when already being logged in so that creates frustration when you can't log in because you already are.

Hold your nose
Super propagandistic. Radically right wing. Good for sports and local news. Web works poorly and is totally crippled by slow loading ads. Only use the issue download option.

Every update is a crime in itself
every update is like a masterclass in how to make an app worse the my activity button hasn't worked in months it just sits there mocking me like a broken elevator button you keep pressing even though you know it's useless and the notifications don't even get me started I signed up for true crime because I wanted big stories about murders trials serial killers actual crime and instead I get spammed about some guy stealing a toaster or a squirrel breaking into a 7/11 how is it 2025 and your algorithm can't figure out what I actually care about every other app has this down but you're out here throwing spaghetti at the wall hoping it sticks fix the basics fix the features stop trying to be clever with the ads and autoplay videos you jagoffs fix the my activity button only giving 2 stars because the news is the best in the biz

App keeps refreshing
Why can't you stop the page from refreshing and sending you to top when scrolling. By now this should be fixed. Ridiculous that people have pointed this out and it's still happening.

A horrible example of journalism. Below average writers and editors all comments are censored so not an open forum very right wing editing but a great sports section the mad magazine of newspapers
