OfferUp was my go-to app for years. I made quite a few purchases and sales, and enjoyed the app's simplicity. Now, it has become more about ads for large companies, than it is about the average consumer. The ads will pop up on a timer, whether you click or not, and others are disguised as posts, deceiving you into clicking a link to a shady website. As much as I dislike social media, I'll be activating an account to use the marketplace function, as OfferUp has sold out.

Banned for no reason
Banned after 5 years of usage without a reason. People can't see my listings and I can't message anyone. Contacted support and said it's not appealable. Said I made multiple IP accounts whatever that means. I used shared WiFi at work and school maybe that's why. Still awful to throw away someone loyal after years.

Annoying ads / cannot un-archive archived listings / curtailed use if outside the country
Why am I seeing ads if I'm paying for a subscription to use this app, especially ads for male performance enhancement? It's very presumptuous and insulting. The only thing limp here is this app: -1 star Archiving a post does not permit user to un-archive. Essentially this is a delete operation. If I wish to remove an item temporarily because I'm going on vacation, I cannot. Either I leave it, and tell interested parties they cannot receive item until I return or I delete it and have to recreate everything from scratch: -1 star OfferUp curtails my ability to administer postings while I'm temporarily located geographically outside the country.: -1 star

No sales
I stop posting here it's a waste of time you will never sell here. They want you to pay for all these promotions and when you pay for the promotions, you still don't get any sales all a waste I don't like this app.

Money money
I wanted to post something, upon creating account , I had a free furniture post a month, however it said I exceed my limit when trying to post and wanted me to buy a post pass. I reached out to customer service and girl was 0 help and said to buy a pass to post. Heck no.

It would be a much better app if ads weren't on here. No reason to have them on an app where you just buy and sell.

Ads, ugh. Better filter options and a privacy setting
Update: the ads are getting out of control. Not only do they blend into the listings and offer no distinction but now there's pop ups to sit through. Really making the app unbearable from its once great experience Would be ideal to set filter settings to eliminate shipping option as standard in our account settings Also would like an option to have privacy maintained - minimal data collected and remove any instance that requests additional info
