I tried to identify a species that I already knew called sotobius pilularius to see how it worked and it didn't recognize it. I tried to search for it in the app's search engine and it wasn't there. Then I tried with other insects and it kind of varied, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.

Can identify insects, labels many as harmful to humans then says non toxic, doesn't bite. So I don't trust it. I'll use that app to identify and then Google it.

Many insects are wrong, it's not very good for finding insects, it usually gives wrong answers or doesn't have the correct name, I agree that it's difficult to find an insect just by photo, but if I can do it with Google and in a few minutes or 1 hour I don't need the app, it gives a very fast answer but most of the time incorrect, cool idea but needs more insect database, PS I would like a dark mode too!! White hurts the eyes if you look at it for too long. Insect photo gallery
