Plant Nanny Cute Water Tracker - Latest Quality Issues

One of the few apps that has gotten me to hydrate consistently for 2 weeks now and it's very cute and encourages me not to kill my plants (I love plants outside of this). My only reason for a 4 star is because the app is annoying when you close it, open it back up again after a few hours to mark your water and ads pop-up everytime with the free version. Other than that, really cute.

Sadly apple doesn't do half stars for some reason. My main drawbacks are a paywall for certain perks on a health app and the constant ads about other apps made by the same company.

It's a little clunky sometimes. When I drink, I want to note it fast and not undergo a longer process. I'd give it five stars if the notation were faster

It used to be good
The App was very good when it was launched, but with the latest updates, most of the plans and features are only accessible by paying the monthly fee, which is super expensive and unjustifiable due to the features the app has. Not to mention that a monthly fee plan for this type of application doesn't make any sense.

Not what it once was
I had Plant Nanny for years in the first iteration before their overhaul and it was so fun. As another user said (who must have rated it 5 stars just so people would read it), it is now not only paid (which I don't mind), but a never-ending subscription (which I do mind). I'm finding that most apps are going this way. Waterminder is a popular water tracking app and it is a subscription. Water Llama is another popular app and it offers a one-time, very reasonable, payment. Same with heart trackers and many others - Heart Analyzer is a one-time payment, Cardiogram is a subscription, but both are bound by Apple's development rules. Is a water tracker really worth $70/yr? I think not. It was so much fun, but goodbye Plant Nanny and hello Water Llama.

Super cute game! The ads are mostly optional. I needed an app to help track my water intake. This one is wonderful! However, I do wish I could manually adjust the amount of water I gotta drink in a day.
