I like the app but one thing…
The new app works much better for me than the old one but I wish they'd subtract the money from my checking account immediately after I pay bills even if it is only visually taken away.

Mostly terrific
For the most part, I really like the SFFCU mobile app. But whether it is online through my computer or my mobile device, I wish the transaction search worked better. So far, it has never been useful to me. Also, I would like to categorize my transactions but the category choices offered are too limited and do not apply to our situation. WE LOVE OUR CREDIT UNION AND OVERALL, IT IS FANTASTIC !

Annoying
There is always something frustrating about this app. This credit union puts so much effort into customer service and treating its members right but it has never caught up with the digital age. All their effort has always been about how they treat the person in front of them or on the phone but they've never put that kind of care into their app. This app has never been good. Any little improvement it makes is often overshadowed by an attempt to revamp the app, which only creates new issues. The one continuous frustration I've noticed is drop downs don't work. Specifically, I've used the app to open new CDs for years and every single time the drop down only lets you automatically renew the certificate. For the last ~15 years, I've never had an easy time selecting “deposit into account” upon maturity. Every time I say this to anyone, they just say “oh well you should just call us.” Well I live in an apartment complex and often do my banking whenever I randomly think about it, which is often 12 am before bed. Not a lot of answers on the service line when you call at that time. I'm going to keep using the app because I have no choice, but I still kind of dread any time I have to do anything besides simple transfers or payments.

Loans and credit
In July I applied for a personal loan while I was hospitalized. After much work and time it was denied. It was suggested I take an equity loan - to redo the one I had and increase the amount, after much work and time at the last moment in September it was suggested I apply for a mortgage. My home had no mortgage. After much work and time it was denied at the end of October but a personal loan was offered, not enough to help, and at a very high rate of interest. So for three months SFFCU strung me along causing huge anxiety and depression. I now have found a source to give me a first mortgage to save me financially. All I need is a letter stating how the personal loan 10/30 consolidated 3 loans into one. I'm waiting.

Every time I enable biometrics, the first time I login the app tells me my biometrics have been tampered with and biometrics have been disabled. Then I have to go lookup my password and type it in. It really discourages using the app. I have a dozen other banking and similar apps, none of the others have any problem with biometric login, just schools first. Very frustrating. I have a Pixel 8 Pro. When I can login and use the app, it seems to work well enough.

Meh at best.
I don't like having to hunt for the information about the bank for to wire money. That info should be front and center. With the last update I can no longer use Face ID for login. Passwords have to be so complicated nowadays this is more of an inconvenience than a security feature. I'm tired of resetting my password. You get 3 stars because of your people not your app.
