Cheque deposit doesn’t work on iPhone
I've been having two annoying bugs with the app. One is the password auto fill doesn't work with Face ID. The Face ID succeed but nothing is filled into the password section. I ended up having to manually type my pw each time. 2nd issue is the cheque deposit is buggy. I usually have to try several times before a successful deposit. I'm a photographer and tech savvy person and I'm pretty sure each time the photo of the cheque is clear and complete. So this has to be a bug. And at the moment, I've attempted at least 10 times with my current cheque and I don't think I'll make it this time. I have the above issues on both my iPhone 14 and my iPhone 16 pro. PLEASE FIX.

it asks me for a password, i don't even remember creating one. also the bank itself never has $5 notes. kinda just a bad bank fr

Worst online banking app. Worse than credit union
2SV locks you out of your account and keeps you in an infinite loop. Happens at the worst time. I've lost money and have had deals fallen through because of this. So annoying. Will likely change banks because of this.

my review is not about your app or digital experience. those are great, but honestly lacking features. there are literally so many hoops to jump through to leave feedback through any other channel except an app store rating so that's why i'm here. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO LEAVE DIGITAL REVIEWS FOR ANY EXPERIENCE OR CHANNEL. you google “scotiabank complaint” and there is no easy way to let you know how i am feeling. too many words on your pages and no actual value or path to resolution. my problem is with all your managed investment accounts. i should not have to call and wait 30+ mins (while listening to super annoying and completely irrelevant IVR messaging that DOES NOT APPLY TO ME) to get access to my own money. it's truly a disgrace that you make it so difficult to access my own investments. there should quite literally be a button on the app where i can withdraw my money. every non-big 5 has that feature. get it together….i have to call and wait on hold for an extended period of time just to make a withdrawal - just to ACCESS MY OWN FUNDS. and then i have to wait days? now you've gotten the time down to the next business day, but wow it was a disgrace when it was 4 days. and you wonder why people hate your bank and would rather work with and entrust in digital providers or literally anyone else. it's not YOUR MONEY ITS MINE. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEADS AND START DESIGNING FOR IT. YOU DESIGN THINGS TO KEEP YOURSELF IN POWER RATHER THAN TO GIVE CONTROL TO THE PEOPLE WHOSE MONEY IT ACTUALLY IS. Ihave bit my tongue on this for years thinking oh they'll eventually fix it. you clearly don't want people taking money out of your Bank - are you that unstable and insecure as an FI that you have to make it so laborious for folks to get their money out? the harder you make it, the more i want to withdraw my funds and the more i want to NEVER put funds in that account again. it's painfully obvious that your business is completely disconnect and silo'd internally and while that isn't the client's fault - it's us who bear the consequence. u have BILLIONS of dollars. DO BETTER

Visa Fraud department awful
Short version. Two times I've been frauded with my card in 3 years, and there is no accountability or direct communication with the fraud department. If I want to talk to a supervisor, it's a 14 day wait. I've been promised resolutions and escalations and I do not get calls or emails back. Once could have been unlucky; twice is a pattern.

Useless, expensive, unreliable
Once again I am stuck unable to use my account or transfer money because the online banking is down. Great. Month end too and now will have NSF Fees. Also still don't have my replacement card after 3 months and countless calls. This bank is the worst in Canada and this app may be the worst app ever made.
