The top use cases for this app in the United States were managing threads and sharing media between iOS and Android. Now that RCS chat is rolling out widely for iOS, Signal's brutal down-sampling of media makes it a far weaker option. It is not sufficient that one can lessen the down-sampling within settings, nor that one can circumvent the down-sampling by sending a "file." If the default quality of shared media is worse than with RCS, no one I know is going to use Signal regularly.

I had two delete singal because some one was trying to scam meI have to totally truthful with you about something I have been threatening and scammed and blackmailed bye a few people tried to scam me out of money also to trick me out of pictures of myself nude .

Good FB Messenger alternative. Like a slightly pared down Mssngr, but still maintains most functionality. Full-time end-to-end encryption. It's open source, so there's no data or profile harvesting/sharing. Simpler UI than Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp. Group chats are an option, too. As w/ Mssngr, you can mute individual chats. My only complaint is there's no way to turn off notifs when folks react to your comment w/ thumbs up, laugh emoji, etc. Either all types of notifs are on or all are off.
