The leasing agent comes in my apartment all the time. It does not show she came in on the access screen. I don't think it's good she can leave the apartment in her system as a rental and always enter without my knowledge. I like the system ease but the management doesn't honor the lock, so it's like you have no lock so I would not rent another apartment with this system.

Non functional app that's completely useless, when I put in ANY command it does nothing then says 'This is taking longer than expected'. I spent over 1.5 hours with their tech support & they had me punch in some reset codes on my lock, after our third try my app started working! Less than 24 hours later it went back to non responsive. It's not a WiFi issue, the hub is plugged in directly to my modem. I can't even generate codes I have zero faith in this app and wish I had a PHYSICAL key

Keeps logging me out. Every time I open the app..I have to sign in. Also…where is there no Apple Watch support? It's 2024…we are in the AI era. Get with the program.

It'd be cool if it works, but you cannot rely on it. Our apartment put in SmartRent a while ago, and yeah I would like to be able to have a programmable thermostat and it is convenient to turn off lights from your phone if you forget while out. But it never stays working. This is the 5th or 6th time the thermostat is 'offline,' and I am tired of it. I never wanted to live with 'smart-home' tech to begin with and SmartRent has only solidified that opinion.

The connectivity sucks. I can't use any of the features because something is always offline or can't connect.

I have had to contact smart rent or my apartment complex over a dozen times to “fix” stuff. Lots of software updates, lots of rebooting their “smart” hub and many hours wasted My biggest problem is that the entire system is not reliable. My front door lock broke internally and locked out of my home in my pj's at 8:00am in the cold. I had to call the maintainence office to come break into my apartment and then show up late to work. The thermostat is not wired to the wall for some reason. It has AA batteries that die every 3 months and the app will suddenly stop controlling it. Usually this happens in the middle of the night The door lock eats batteries too and the apartment complex refuses to maintain them. I go through a Costco pack of batteries every year just to keep my door lock and a/c working. There is no provision for recycling them on site either. If you can get the maintainence crew to the replace batteries they throw the old toxic batteries directly in the trash instead of recycling them. The a/c or heat will turn on to random different temperatures in the app then the ones you set. The app in general is glitchy and on multiple occasions has been wrong about my door being locked or unlocked . Now the worst part though? UDR owns this poor excuse of a company and is forcing it on us as a excuse to raise our rent . The problems out weigh any potential convenience features . Companies like this are the problem with America. They might as well sell junk health insurance

Works ok for what it is. It struggles and can't connect to WiFi that *literally* every other device in the place can easily find. So that's pretty bad, since one would think that's basic functionality It could be that there's and error and it's actually connect ever though it's saying it's not. But that's also a fail, because that's bad UI/UX and app development

Non-functional since the latest update. 9/10 times it launches and spins for a while before claiming I'm offline with a "retry" button that does seemingly nothing. I'm literally on my WiFi, and everything else is online. This just refuses to connect, which is a problem given I use it to unlock the door. Good thing I saved my passcode elsewhere otherwise I'd have been locked out of my own home! Pixel 7 on Android 15.

Heat doesn't work!!! Why make an Install of you weren't going to make sure it worked properly before you left??
