This app doesn't work.

The app will not let me use party connect and is not letting me update my Sony SrsXp500. I just bought a new SrsXp700 and the party connect feature just doesn't work which is kind of the whole reason I bought a second Sony speaker so I might be returning the new one. I love the Sony speakers, they sound great but the fact that party connect doesn't work is a massive let down.

FIX THE BUG

Hello! I would like to report an issue: the problem occurs in “Find Your Equalizer” setting. When I enter this setting I go step by step to the final tab of this setting section, when I press “Finish” > “Save” nothing happens. I can neither exit this setting after saving eq, nor can I go back to the first step and try to exit from there. So the last option is to relaunch the app. But I don't wanna do that as I am in the process of updating the headphones software. Please fix the problem. Thanks in advance! And, to be honest, the app looks quite old and buggy over all. Sorry to disappoint you but that's my honest opinion. Hire a new designer/team.

Bad app

Does not work, cannot turn off pointless mute when speaking feature. Would like to understand why someone thinks that should be the default. Will be returning Sony headphones for something that less frustrating to use

Getting Chromecast to work on the srs-99 was always an unstable and hard to configure task, but since the Chromecast audio update from Google (march '25) , there is no way of getting connection to the Sony Chromecast function anymore. I just connect an external hardware audio chromecast. Although I did not find any official discontiunation info from Sony anywhere for the built in crhomecast issue.
