Horrible for small businesses. I was approved to accept payments. I accepted one 10k payment then they put the funds on hold and eventually closed my account because it didn't confirm to what square approved. The issue is that now my funds have been held for a week and my customer hasn't been refunded. I plan to sue square but think you should go another direction if you are trying to process payments easily. This is not easy and has caused major issues for my business

Be careful with this app.
Once you register as a member, they will continue to send you emails even after you cancel your membership. Even if you unsubscribe by clicking the unsubscribe button at the end of the email, they will continue to send you emails. They were so persistent that I contacted them by email, but they said that they had not been able to suspend my account and told me to suspend my account myself. Normally, they would suspend your account on your behalf, right? It was very difficult to understand how to suspend my account, and it took me about 30 minutes to finally suspend it, but it is strange that they would send me emails because my account was not suspended even though I had already suspended it at the end of the email. To top it off, they sent me emails again even after I suspended my account. I contacted them again about the above matter. Since I have to check every time an email is sent, it takes up valuable time even if it is only a few seconds, which is very annoying. Since I use Gmail, even if I block the sender, the email arrives in my spam folder, and there is a possibility that some important email has been sent to the spam folder by mistake, so I have to check each time, which takes up valuable time. Please be careful with this app.

As the owner of a fledgling small business, I would rather be paid in shiny beads and pennies then have to deal with this bull$4it company called square. Wouldn't allow me to accept a single payment, forcing me to ask for cash from my customers, who honestly didn't have that kind of money on them. No one does. Meanwhile,I'm getting more jobs and the ones I've finished, I haven't been paid for yet because of square. Don't use this service. Unless you like working for free

It's started taking forever for payment to show up. Used to take a couple of minutes. Now it's like 10 minutes, and I'm always questioning if my customers' payments are going through.

Works well most of the time, though I might be able to blame the loss of connection to the unit I experienced to the location we were in. Would still recommend for small time businesses/ just starting out.

I install the update and the phone will not connect to my reader. So I cannot take cards that have a mag strip
