Bad prices and horrible resorts. Agents are also bad. Overcharged for baggage and won't refund the money. Thieves.

Cancun Vacation
We always flew with Transat. This time we decided to try Sunwing. With my wife having mobility issues we tried multiple times to request a wheelchair. Always getting the same response. “ this is a non guaranteed request “ ?? We arrive at Kitchener Airport and luckily there is a wheelchair inside the door. No thanks to Sunwing. Arrive in Cancun and there is a wheelchair available. At the resort we check with the Nexus rep and request a wheelchair when we arrive back at the Cancun airport. He says he put in the request. When we arrive at the airport there no wheelchair again. We find a Nexus rep ( actually two basically just directing traffic). The one rep a heavy set gentleman was very helpful and did his best to get us a wheelchair. The other gentleman ( smaller guy with glasses) was somewhat rude when I explained how many times we requested a wheelchair and have received nothing. He quickly informed us that he doesn't work Sunwing only works for Nexus and only assists Sunwing. I'm sure you can figure out who that was working on March 24 2025 between 5:30 and 6:30. My wife stood there for over a half hour until a wheelchair arrived. The gentleman from the airport took us to check in and through security and to our gate where he said we couldn't keep the wheelchair. In the meantime our flight was delayed until 1:00 am. They expected my wife to sit there for 7 hours. Luckily we found an old wheelchair chair behind the counter. I would like to say do better Sunwing but I don't expect to use your services for the next vacation. Going back to Transat!!

5 and a half hour flight, and the seats don't even recline??? let alone any device plug in, tv screen or any sort of comfort - but same price of flights compared to previous trips plus extra charges for baggage. Lacked any iota of comfort. Going downhill Sunwing...

SUNWING NIGHTMARE
We were some of the lucky people to get stranded in Cuba. No Calgary flights for us but yet Saskatoon,Regina,Edmonton and Vancouver left just a day late and we were going on 5 days stranded until we took matters into our own hands and then we were on our own!

App always logs out and doesn't seamlessly communicate with the Sunwing website. We used the app to upgrade our seats, for a cost. My CC was charged, I received an email itinerary confirming the change, but then all to find that upon using the app to check-in, our seats were still the same existing seats, not the upgraded ones. Gate attendants were unable to correct the issue as the seats were now booked by someone else.

Worst airline ever
Flight to Dominican cancelled with no reason given to me. I had booked dates to line up with meeting family. Ended up going a day earlier and leaving a day early d cost me over $500 as o had to change flight to Toronto. They gave me no apology, explanation and offered a $50 voucher for my next trip with them. That will never happen,,, Delayed flight , emails for return flight were after the fact. Agents in PUJ airport were rude. On phones and eating in between customers Called us “Hey Lady”. To say “go there”. Very unorganized at airport. The return plane had several seats that were duct taped together. Over all bet bad experience with this Airline and I will never book another vacation/flight with them again

Negligent Delay
The excessive 9 hour delay with no communication from a sunwing rep has been ridiculous. I have lost an entire days work because of this delay. I also have a special diet for which I bring food and due to the delay I have no food left and haven't eaten in 24 hours. We were supposed to leave the resort at 11:35 am and land in Toronto at 10:10 pm. I am still in Jamaica and won't be landing in Toronto until 5:55 am the following day. I was supposed to start work at 8 am which is now impossible because I won't even be home by then. Sunwing should be reimbursing me for all lost wages.

Lack of communication, we were supposed to leave our hotel for 7:30 am without any information from Sunwing, we left for the cayo coco airports at 7:00 am by chance that we were earlier at the lobbies.
