Use the website instead
This app is very poorly implemented. It's slow, it doesn't work with password managers, copy and paste doesn't work well for passwords either. Just logging in is painful. It doesn't offer any features beyond what you can do on the website, and the website doesn't have any of the problems with login that the app does. Use that instead.

Part review, part PSA. Review first: This app was OK, most of the time. It had issues with missing/lagged data, not to mention the cyber incident. Some reviewers say they are constantly asked to log in every time. ICYMI, there is a setting in the app that can let you log in for up to 30 days. PSA: This app is going to be retired soon because all the app's functionality has been added into the 'TfL Go' app. I have now installed the new app. So long, TfL Oyster, and thanks for all the fish. 🐟

Easy to use and great to see history payment but binding credit successfully still can use phone NFC to tap in.

Potentially useful, often annoying.
The login alone is annoying. The app doesn't tie in to keychain or other password managers, so you have to go to your relevant app or keychain to copy your password out. Then the password field (iOS) doesn't immediately accept a paste, so you have to type something (space works) into the field first and then it allows paste. Hmm. Then you get the 2FA field; when you paste the number into that and tap the enter key you still have to click another button in the app. What a load of wasted clicks. Once you're in, when it works it's decent, but Oyster balance can often be out of date - there doesn't appear to be a background refresh, so you have to manually refresh to get a current value, which obviously doesn't work if you have no signal, for example if you're in large parts of the underground network…
