Great App, Couple of Flaws
This is a great app and I love all the information on it! I use it all the time. I love the barcode scanner. I completely cleared out my bathroom of all the toxic beauty products I've been hanging on to for years. I also will go to Ulta and use the barcode scanner to scan products until I find a clean one. Two changes I would make. It drives me nuts that every time I open the app, there is a pop up asking me to sign up for notifications. I already pay for the app, why are you also trying to shove notifications down my throat outside the app with a pop up notification in the app? I try to limit all notifications on all apps across my phone and it is very annoying that I have to click out of a pop up EVERY time I open the app, even if I opened it one minute before to look something up! I finally denied notifications and now there is a separate pop up I need to click out of notifying me that I denied them. I don't get it. I don't know if this is something that can be changed per app or if it has more to do with phone settings, but turning autocorrect off on the search box would be nice. There are so many beauty companies with wacky names that are close to a normal word, so autocorrect takes over. For ease of use, it would be helpful for that to not happen, but not sure if that's something the app makers can change.

I've purchased Lifetime access, but I'm still asked to Subscribe when selecting products. If I click Subscribe, I'm taken to a page confirming my Lifetime Access to Premium features. But if I go back and try to view products, I'm still asked to Subscribe. If I exit out, I'm taken back to the homescreen, making it impossible for me to view any products, rendering the app useless. (I left a report through the app. I'll change my review back to 5 Stars once this is fixed.)

Edit: After using this app for 5 years, I am extremely disappointed in it. Originally this was a great app to find products that are actually clean and there were very few things you needed to pay for to access. Now however, it is the complete opposite. You can access almost nothing without a "premium subscription". Good app, just disappointing.

Couldn't find a method or any info on how to cancel the subscription in the app, and got slugged for an app that doesn't have any info on products sold in Australian supermarkets. Contacted Think Dirty, who did not reply at all. Requested refund via Google who were no help at all. Looking into making my own app.

I have to pay for it now ??
I used to use this app all the time, but now that I can't actually look things up without having to pay is extremely frustrating. Looks like I'm just googling everything again.

I've been happily using this app for years to help select new skincare products, but all basic functions are locked behind a paywall now. I recommend using the Whole Foods list of banned skincare/cosmetic ingredients instead.

I agree with some other uses. I am tired of being on board with an app. when it starts off and it's great. And then the basic get scaled back just a bit, so then you mak e room to charge. you have to pay 1.99 a week. It may not seem like a lot, but it adds up. that almost an extra 95.52 a year. and to add more 3.49 a week 167.52 a year for lifetime 199.99 a pennies short of 200.00 good grief. i guess it's back to reading the back of the package for me

lousy
to see the ingredients to avoid is paid, no problem with that, but it is absurd the premise of the application is accessibility and the minute the user downloads it already has to pay!
