A pro…
I didn't know about this app until recently. I really like the ease and the way you can get contracts! What I really don't like is that I have to pay for messages that aren't carried out. They should charge me once the work is done! Because it's a waste of money without doing anything! I've lost more than I've earned! Just like the app makes sure that we, the pros, are real, they should verify the users and not waste our time and, above all, our money!

NOT GOOD. I started with thumbtack a week ago. They have charged me 72$ for 6 leads. I only worked 2 leads of the 6. The 3rd lead made an appointment and cancelled an hour before the appointment and she did not give a reason. The other 3 leads, I did call the customer fast enough because I was sleeping, another time I was at church and another time I was at a wedding. Why should I get charged if I do not end up working for the lead. I paid 72$ ended up making only 63$. Spent 6 hours working.

I found no good clients, I wasted hundreds of dollars on this app. I don't recommend it.

This was a great app for leads until a couple weeks ago. I don't know what happened, but there are no leads. I have been a "Top Pro" with Thumbtack for 3 years and it was great, but something changed: first the leads got VERY expensive ( $700 in one month mostly dead leads) now literally nothing. I have no idea what changed, but had I written this review 2 months ago, I would have said it was the greatest, now I'm saying it's a waste of time. Too bad, because it really was a great app before.

Terrible, prices for leads have 4x in the last year. Leads are VERY hit or miss. Given fake numbers and fake leads that charge me $50 plus. Ask for a refund and thumbtack hasn't done it once for ANY reason. Even if the lead is outside of my preferences, location, etc. Horrible way to get leads.

This company is not small business friendly. You get charged outrageous fees for leads that have been sent and charged to several other professionals. This is somewhat of a rip-off. I appreciate the exposure, but I absolutely do not appreciate getting taken advantage of. Someone reached out to us in error. They thought they had removed and deleted the request. Thumbtack charged us over $50. When I disputed because the customer obviously did not mean to keep the request, Thumbtack refused it.

Ive paid maybe 100+ follars and I have not made even 20 dollars from the app. the cost of leads are not bad but when you are not making any money it does not seem like a wise action to use this platform.
