Terrible decision to buy this tv
You're limited what about having the new stations like WBOC or coastal TV you don't give me anything for my area code how many times you must think about other people everybody don't like crime or criminals or horror TV do you have an idea what comedy terrible the amount of commercials they were always shoving it down my throat. If I have a health problem, my doctor knows about it. I don't have to ask him. I saw a commercial for a condition I don't even have. Do I need this medication

A little wonky still good
The app is pretty decent, the remote however is a little wonky to use and will skip over icons if you're pressing the over button to fast. It's still good for what it is.

Terrible app
Every single time I use this app it says that the tv is “unreachable”. My phone and tv are both on the same and still this app hardly ever works. Completely useless!!!!!!

Doesn’t work with my TV
I have a Vizio smart TV that was purchased somewhere between 2019 and 2021 and the app doesn't recognize it's existence. This is annoying because I've got a different phone with a version of the app from two years ago and it recognizes it very annoyed two stars

Good when it works
When the app isn't having issues it is great, smooth, easy searching. However on multiple occasions now I am welcome at random with a message that says “Permissions needed” it needs local network permission, which it has. The only way I have found to remedy this issue is by uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. EDIT: Score lowered, their AI support and subsequently live support is fairly pointless, can't read description on the issue and continue to think I have a different issue.

Issues with enable “local network”
Randomly we are unable to use the app remote, we get a please enable “local network” in order to use the app remote. No solutions to fix this aside from uninstalling and installing the app again, but this only works temporarily. Not sure what the issue is, but it is very inconvenient..

Glitchy
I thought it would be cool to use my phone as a remote but I can't depend on it. It's very glitchy. Sometimes I can use it without problems, other than lagging, but other times it won't connect. I have tried plugging the TV into different outlets and turning my WiFi off and on. I would have expected a company like Vizio to have the bugs worked out.

Has always annoyed me, smh. Got worse.
It kept saying “ lost connection “ when my phone and tv were on the same wifi, working, yet it was hard for me to press functions and now it got worse and is more constant. Used to be okay, could've been good.

For Vizio to truly be a better TV than a Roku tv, this app needs to be fixed
Bought 2 VIZIO TVS to replace Roku TVs I had which were almost to the end of their lifespan. While the Vizio TV is great, this app is not which makes me regret not getting another ROKU tv. This app is a COMPLETE nightmare. If the TV is off, the Vizio app remote won't be able to turn it on. You will have to find the actual remote to turn it on, and then be able to use the app remote. The Roku TV app remote can turn the tv on when it's off, because the Roku tvs stay connected to wifi, unlike the VIZIO TVs. My biggest complaint about this remote app is that the keyboard feature is basically useless. The entire reason I wanted this app was to be able to type on the keyboard the SAME way I did on my Roku tv all which was seamless and worked perfectly. Various tv apps don't even recognize when your using it. Or it accidentally exits you out of the app. The keyboard should be the ONLY thing on this app that works 100%, it should be the only thing within the app that matters. ALSO, if your in the Hulu app and try to rewind with the app remote it hardly works and makes your iPhone repeatedly vibrate and only rewinds in like 5 second increments.
