Too many clicks to do basic things
In recent updates, YNAB has made made the app terrible due to the amount of clicks needed to do things. Each transaction used to have a radio button next to it where you could quickly select multiple transactions if needed, and clear/unclear them. Now you have to hit select > select transactions > hit more > hit clear. Once you hit clear, it deselects the transactions and if you made a mistake, you have to do the whole process over to unclear them. Additionally, your cleared balance in each account would change when you cleared/uncleared transactions. Now, the “working balance” will always be the same no matter what's cleared or not. You don't know what the actual balance is unless you go to reconcile the account. Because of this, reconciling your account is a much more drawn out process if you're using the app. The mobile app is basically trash for reconciling, and only good for entering transactions if you're out and about. You're much better off using the web app. I don't know who decided that it was a good idea to hide functions behind so many clicks, but they should revisit the way it works.

Immediately screwed up my account.
The first thing I did after signing up was link my bank account. As soon as it linked I noticed that it automatically assumed my credit card was a checking account and that my card balance was money that I needed to allocate in my budget. I sent a message to support where they told me I couldn't fix the mistake their app made and would have to make a new account and transfer my transactions manually. The first thing that I do in the app should not be correcting a mistake the app made. How is it not possible to change an account type on a budgeting app? How does your app not know the difference between a checking account and a credit card? And to send me a tutorial to follow to fix your mistake? How about YOU fix the mistake YOUR app made.

Terrible
After 6 years of using this app it has become terrible. Support is bots or if you do finally get a response it's copy and paste messages. Personally I think it's all bots. It's not intuitive anymore! Moving move feels impossible as it is clunking and cluttered! I feel like I need a PHD in YNAB just to do simple tasks. Everything is watch a video to learn how. Here's any idea, how about go back to how it was when it was easy and simple. The new management has ruined a great app! Why is there not a simple way to undo a mistake? You make a mistake and you realize but you are already 15 steps ahead or even the next day! Why is there not a go back button or go back to yesterday? I don't know why I bother to type this, THEY DO NOT CARE! They care more about upcoming events and trying to put on shows than actually working to improve the app.

Waste of time downloading and setup
Doesn't connect to some basic Chase credit cards. It says that it can share with another but doesn't have that option under settings and privacy like it is stated under support.

I am not paying you to advertise at me.
As a 6+ year YNAB user, Putting ads for your conferences in app is a slippery slope and erodes my trust significantly. Use your other channels (podcasts, YouTube, website) - it is very concerning you think it's okay to do this to your paying customers. Don't pollute your app, not okay! —- Response to developer response: what a nothing burger of a reply, I went to use YNAB today and literally forgot what I was doing because the popup happened again. If I dismiss it once, don't show it again! I used to love this but if you think this abuse is okay behavior, you lost a big supporter and evangelist today.

Super hard to use
Why would you not make it user friendly. I have to watch video every time I need to do something. Why not make it easier so people are not pulling their hairs out.

Recently Started Spamming For Their Events
I have been a long time YNAB fan - I've been using it for more than a decade now. I was frustrated with the unreliable bank connections of the past but stuck with it. But recently, they've decided they're going to have some YNAB convention and they're spamming all of their customers about it frequently. I haven't found any way to opt out of it. It's inappropriate to market to your customers this way without providing a way to easily opt out.
